Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning. Educators:

1a: Set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their effectiveness.

1b: Pursue professional interests by creating and actively participating in local and global learning networks.

1c: Stay current with research that supports improved student learning outcomes, including findings from the learning sciences.

Step 1 - Design a Solution

Problem

“We need ways to stop summer slide in its tracks,” Joanelda, your superintendent said. Could you and your team put a presentation or video together that captures key ideas about summer slide? Maybe, a short survey of research that's out there with short summaries? Include some recommendations, too."

Learn various resources relevant to preventing summer slide, including research and insights, then share them with the Superintendent's Cabinet and others.

Project & Task

Explore sources of information, gather data, then put it together an easy to process way. Don't limit yourself to the tools available. Video, pictorial options are also worth considering.

Step 2 - Explore and Create

Instructions

Depending on the devices your team has available, explore the available suggested apps (or come up with some of your own) to create the product.

Creation Tools

Remember you can "app-smash" or combine the products of multiple apps/sites into one.
